Help Ariel Get Home

Over the years, with a few exceptions I have always made an effort to keep my personal life private, and to share the joyful moments, and the triumphs over the challenges and difficulties. That said, it is with great humility that I write this and ask for help from the people around me.

Last year I survived a violent relationship. Over the course of the relationship I lost everthing- my job, my home, my sense of security and safety, and my family and friends. At the same time I was diagnosed with a medical condition and was hospitalized. It was a lonely and fearful time in my life, but I discovered a strength and a fight inside me that I never knew I possessed.

Over the course of the following year, I began to rebuild my life.... restoring friendships, working with doctors to treat my condition, and speaking out against domestic violence.

Unfortunately, the fight has been difficult and earlier this year I stumbled resulting in my falling behind financially. As such, I am now facing losing my home this week. I have never asked for help before and I feel great embarassment and shame at doing it now, but I fought harder for my home than I've ever fought for anything, and it was the first safe place I'd known in years. So I am now asking for help... Any little bit can help me stay here, and nothing will go unnoticed or unappreciated.
