You may think FGM (Female Genital Mutilation) is a distant topic that happens only in other places. Surely not next door to you?
Actually, FGM is common even in the UK, with families flying abroad to perform its grizzly ritual in places where it's common, and then returning to the UK after having mutilated their child.
The purpose of this event is to raise awareness for this problem, and help fund a leading charity that fights to change practices and policies and eradicate FGM.
Don't worry though - this will be a celebration, not a dry conference! I happen to also be turning 30 this year and I decided that rather than do a normal birthday party, I wanted to contribute to something that mattered. The event will feature speakers and performances that will offer you the experience of a lifetime, all the while contributing to a good cause!

Speakers will include Shaa Wasmund (serial entrepreneur, author of best selling book "Stop Talking, Start Doing") and Jamie Catto (of the iconic band Faithless) who will be talking about transforming inner shadows. But fear not - it not all going to be serious business! I have also invited a couple of burlesque performers who may reveal it all if you cheer loud enough :)
