My name is Elijah, and I barely have two pennies to rub together, let alone enough to spend on essentials for college. By donating to this cause, you'll help provide me with bedding, towels, storage supplies, notebooks and pencils....pretty much everything that I need! I will be giving art to those who donate as a reward/incentive! You can find my art here!
This is my family and I. Bella, my lil sister, my mother, and Luke, my baby bro. We have had hardship after hardship for quite a few years now, and still have yet to get our feet quite under us. We are trying our best, though, and making do with what we have, even if that means not getting to here and there, or buy this or that.
My mom has gone without buying new clothes just so Bella and I could enjoy a night out at a restaurant. We've gone without a lot in the past few years, and the high prices for the materials and supplies I need for college prove to be a large strain on our meager income, thus I've created this page.
Here is just a brief of myself. My name is Laura Stanley, but I go by Eli with a lot of my friends. I've been living solely with my mother for most of my life due to my father walking out on my life. I've been homeless and even lived off ramen....but I try not to let this define me. I am a valedictorian of St. John's High School. An artist. A spirit who refuses to be broken by the trials and tribulations of a harsh world.
I am a happy-go-lucky goofball who loves to make everyone laugh and smile. I am an artist and I wish to pursue my talents and create a career to sustain myself and help out those who have helped keep me on the right path. I want to make a positive difference in the world, and this starts with college.
I will be attending Albright College, a beautiful campus up in Reading, Pennsylvania, where I was born. I was awarded a presidential scholarship of $80,000 for my academic success. However, this does not cover all of the expenses, like bedding and supplies (binders, notebooks, etc.).
This is why I ask for help.
