Funding for new computer parts

Greetings,

This isn't an urgent request. I'm amongst many others who want an upgraded computer for work, gaming, multi-media... you name it. My parts cost just over 1000$, and I plan to invest this much for the long term.

Recently, I've been trying to save money for the needed components to bring my computer back up to speed for the minimum requirements of needed software. Up until now I've been trying to save cash for the upgrade as well as for my next fall semester at school. Getting work over the school year will be hard to find and manage with competing studies, and whether or not my current employment will last beyond the summer is uncertain. 

My name is Eric, an aspiring game designer and digital artist in Montreal Canada. I have plans to go to school in the Computational Arts, and have hopes of being able to practice digital painting at home on a reliable, long-lasting computer for years to come.
