Hello everyone!
My name is Cody Mathers, and I am the creator Animallia. I have been working in the animal industry my entire working career and have worked in both the Big-Box stores and the small, privately owned specialty stores. I have noticed they both have their ups and downs.
The big stores have products for a wide variety of animals, but not much of anything for specific animals or many higher end products such as breeding supplies, multi-animal caging, or specialty diets. Not to mention, the average employee at many big pet stores doesn't know terribly much about any given topic.
Small specialty stores are great and are the lifeblood of the animal industry. They supply beginners, advanced hobbyists, and even breeders with necessary supplies. The employees are generally very knowledgeable about the livestock, and products. However, specialty stores are small, can't keep many items in stock, and need to special order constantly.
Combined, they host about 85% of people involved with animals. I thought, why not combine the best of the two, and cover at least 95% of people involved with animals? So Animallia was born, the place where no matter if you keep a monkey, 30 snakes, 4 fish tanks, and a rabbit or needed research equipment for a college study on fish, all necessary supplies would be sold in store and online. Please help me start my dream!!!
All donations received will be put towards finalizing plans, hiring necessary staff, and getting this huge project off the ground!
