For those that don't know Andrews story, here it is:
He was diagnosed with leukaemia in August 2015 at the age of 32. His battle began and boy did he fight. He had a bone marrow transplant in January 2016 donated from a gentleman they found as a match in Germany. In February 2016 he was delivered the happy news that he'd beat the b******$d cancer. However, just a few months later, shortly before his 33rd birthday in June, at a routine check up he was told that it had returned with a vengeance and was unfortunately terminal. They initially told him he had 2 months to live, 6 at the very most. All his family and friends rallied to raise money so that he could fulfil all of his dreams, we got his bucket list and he ticked off every single item on it over the coming months thanks to so many that helped. He did everything he wanted, and only said last week that there was nothing left he hadn't done. He fought until the very end and 7 months from his terminal diagnoses he was still going strong. Blood transfusions kept him alive, he started to create awareness about the importance of giving blood. He thought about everyone else through every step of his journey apart from himself, even using the money that was raised for him to treat others. He and we all thought he had even more time, he hadn't yet planned anything for his funeral as he was so adamant he was going to fight fight fight. He wasn't ready to talk about it, and we didn't push him as he was still so active and doing well, we all thought we would know when he started to get more poorly, that there would be time to plan and save and sort. Unfortunately last Saturday he took a turn for the worse unexpectedly and very quickly. He was rushed into intensive care where he spent a week. They said the first 48 hours were critical and we didn't think he would come through it. He fought the hardest he has fought and came round and carried on for a whole week, until by Friday, he was well enough to go home. Again, we thought he would have at least a few days, but he was so tired and the fight he had fought for so long left him. He was happy and more than ready and he passed away peacefully with his mum by his side just as he wanted... knowing friends and family were there looking after his family for him. We are now raising money to help pay for his send off. Funerals are expensive and we don't want his family worrying about money at this devastating time. Although he was diagnosed with terminal leukaemia - his decline happened so quickly it came as a shock for many. Just last week, Andrew donated to someone's page he didn't even know to help, that's the type of person he was, he would help even if he didn't know you if he could. Please share Andrews story and help in any little way you can xxxx
