Aki Kurose fund for Anahlia Cowherd

Anahlia Cowherd was an incredible young woman whose life was cut way to short.  She had said in one her writings that “I’m Anahlia Chandris Cowherd, 11 years old, in 5th grade, and I’m gonna bring justice to all girls who have been touched.” This was a year prior to her death and I think we should all join in, in her wish to be a beacon of light to all the children out there that are suffering in silence.

She was our beacon of light at Aki to her classmates and all of her teachers.  She was a straight A student with a penchant for writing.  I've included below a link to one of her fantastic essays.
Mia Williams said, “It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I share the tragic news that one of our students was killed the other night. The student’s mother and grandfather are also dead in the incident. Her younger brother was in the house but managed to escape and call 911. As a community, I know we will come together to not only support the surviving family members, but work to ensure our larger community is a safe place for us to live, learn and work.”
The money that we raise through the PTSA will be going to the surviving brother to help with many of his basic needs, now that he has lost his home and loved ones.  God bless you all for helping to keep Anahlias’ light alive.
