Help Amber & Family Fight Lyme

I want to take this opportunity to tell you about a dear friend of mine who is in need. Her name is Amber. If you know her you would agree she would do everything in her power to help out someone in need. However, this time I am reaching out to you to help her. I have known Amber for over ten years & she is one of the kindest, most loyal friends you can ask for. She is an incredible wife & mother who serves her family well with much sacrifice & love. She is devoted to Jesus & to living a life to honor & glorify Him. Amber is married to Adrian & they have 3 beautiful children, Kyrie (7), Asher (5) & Jaimyn (3).

In 2005 Amber was challenged with many health problems which lead her to meet with many specialists. At that time she was misdiagnosed with fibromyalgia & for the next 7 years suffered from intense chronic pain & exhaustion. In 2011 her symptoms began steadily increasing & she started having more nerve issues which made sitting very painful. At the same time old injuries to her jaw & neck from a car accident years before started causing her further problems as well as a disc in her back herniated which led to back surgery when her 3rd child was 3 months old. The surgery resolved her back issues but the rest of her symptoms continued to increase & left her bed ridden for many months afterwards.

After almost a year of struggling to find answers, doctors finally diagnosed her with Lyme disease in 2012. Lyme disease is an infection of multiple organs which produces a wide range of symptoms. It is a debilitating disease frequently attacking joints, eyes, brain & various other bodily systems like the digestive & nervous system. Those who have Lyme disease suffer with anything from arthritis symptoms to cardiac problems to neurological problems such as seizures, numbness & memory loss. In Amber's case she experiences constant daily headaches/head pain, fatigue, severe nerve pain with tingling, numbness & weakness, brain fog, electric-like shooting pains, muscle aches, twitching & heaviness plus multiple food as well as environmental allergies/sensitivities & other daily issues. She continues to be unable to sit & has many boundaries for how long she can stand & what she is able to do each day. With three young children, it has left her in an extremely tough & challenging situation. She has had to rely on her extended family to assist her in caring for her kids & home. Her Mother, who is a daily support & care giver to the kids, has many health issues of her own.

Some of Amber’s pain has improved through the use of a very extensive & expensive protocol of vitamins, supplements & medication as well as other treatments. She is able to care for her children for longer periods now but still not full time & she is dependent on this daily protocol to maintain this achievement. Her symptoms continue to increase & the financial cost of all of the treatment is becoming too great to keep up. To further complicate issues, all three of her children were exposed to Lyme disease during her pregnancies & through nursing because she didn’t know that she had the condition at the time. Her daughter Kyrie, who is 7 years old, has already shown some symptoms of the disease but thankfully her two young sons have not shown symptoms as of yet. However, in many cases there is a high chance of the disease staying dormant until after puberty or when one's immune system is challenged by another illness so preventative care for the other two children is important. It is imperative that my dear friend Amber & her family are healed from this disease.

This coming June Amber & her family have an opportunity to travel from their home in British Columbia, Canada to Couer d'Alene, Idaho for specialized treatment. By God's grace this treatment center will treat & we hope cure Amber & Kyrie. It is also their hope to be able to do some preventative care their sons, Asher & Jaimyn in the future as well. My heart goes out to Amber & her family & I am praying for their healing. My hope for them is that they can overcome this disease & that they can return to living a life free of chronic pain & fatigue, a life full of energy. This treatment, as you can imagine, is very expensive & I am going to assist them financially & ask that you consider helping them as well. Any contribution made will be much appreciated! The clinic has a 75 - 80-% success rate & is a very hopeful opportunity for them but unfortunately with Lyme disease success is always an unknown. They must raise $9,000 to cover the treatment, travel expenses & follow-up treatments. Their insurance won't cover this type of extended treatment. This is a huge need, however I know there are many people out there who care, will pray & will also help support them financially. Would you extend your helping hand to them by donating to the Gofundme account on their behalf? Thank you for your prayers and support.
