Alexia's road to Cadet Worlds

My name is Alexia Seal and I am a wrestler in grade 11.
In April 2015, I won Gold at the Cadet National Wrestling Championships in Fredericton New Brunswick in the 43 KG weight class.
During the competition I also won first place in the FILA national team trial tournament which placed me on the Canadian National Team which gave me the opportunity to represent my country in Romania (silver medal) and Spain (Gold medal) in May and both the Cadet Pan Am Games in Guadalajara Mexico in July 2015 were I got the bronze medal and the World Championships in Sarajevo in August were I placed 11th .
In 2014 I was also selected to the Cadet National Team as an alternate and travelled to Germany and Austria winning bronze at the German Grand Prix and the Austrian Open.
I began wrestling for my High school in grade 8 and have been a medalist at the provincials every year winning gold in 2015.
For the past year I have been training five days a week with Coast Wrestling with the goal of making the National Team and this year I was able to achieve and surpass that goal by also being one of only three Canadian cadet girls to qualify and make the World Team.
My long term goal is to win gold at the Senior World Championships and the Olympics.
With your help I hope to raise funds to offset the over $15, 000 in expenses incured this year to compete on the world stage for Canada and to bring home the medals.
