Team Alan Swortfiguer Cardiac Fight

Hello Everyone.  We are raising money for our father, Alan Swortfiguer.  He is a loving father of nine, grandfather of three, a brother, uncle, and husband.  He has had a life threatening congenital heart defect his whole life.  Ever since he was a child he has had many battles with his health such as cancer and two open heart surgeries.  Recently, Alan has been batteling life threatening sepsis and right and left heart failure.  We originally set up this campaign to help pay for the expensive of medical bills that come along with Stanford Hospital.  The family then got the great news that the doctors had placed Alan on the heart transplant list. On November 26th, 2014 the doctors found Alan a heart and early thanksgiving morning he came out of surgery successfully.  At this point, every minute counts.  Please pray that his body will except this new heart.  Once Alan is discharged from the hospital, the next battle will begin.  Alan must be within 10 minutes of the hospital for 4-5 months minimum for optimal heart transplant success.  He will under go daily tests and must have 24 hour care.  This will be a critical time for Alan and the family.  This campaign is raising money for Alan's care and recovery including: apartment rent in the Stanford near the hospital, caregivers, transportation, and medical necessities.  Alan has no source of income and his wife is the only means of income for him and the family.  It will be hard for her to care for Alan in Palo Alto and maintain her job in Calaveras County.  We have faith God will provide during this time though.  We ask that you help in anyway you can, every dollar counts towards Alan's second chance at life.  We ask that you also share Alan's story and bring him up in prayer.  We need our strong prayer warriors.
