Thank you for your interest in ÀKANBÍ Educational Foundation!
Unlike public schools in the United States and other parts of the world, public primary and secondary schools in Nigeria require tuition in addition to payment for books and uniforms. Our scholarships will provide a one-time funding assistance to students who require aid. About $300 supports one student for an entire semester in most public primary and secondary schools in Lagos, Nigeria.
In 2016, we provided scholarships to 6 students from Emma ElShaddai Secondary School and Oke Ira Secondary School. With your support, we hope to provide financial assistance to at least 20 kids in Lagos, Nigeria by 2017!
While a portion of the proceeds from each ÀKANBÍ purchase is added to the ÀKANBÍ Educational Foundation (AEF), this campaign is meant to quickly and more directly raise funds for students in need of financial assistance.
As you know, a journey of a thousand miles begins with one step and together we can make a difference in the lives of students in my hometown of Lagos, Nigeria.
Your gift of any amount is appreciated, but as a special thank you, we will like to share a gift for donations of $50 and above.
