National 2014 #OperationBackpack Giveaway!
The goal is to giveaway 2500 Backpacks on August 16, 2014
Be fabYOUlous is partnering with 3N1 Tree Fundraising to promote the National 2014 Backpack Giveaway campaign.
It is estimated that there are over sixteen million students, K-12, who go without basic school supplies every year in the U.S. over 80% qualify for free and reduced meals. Therefore, we have a responsibility to equip our future generation with the essentials they need to learn and perform better academically Throughout this event, we plan to giveaway over 125,000 pre-filled backpacks. These 17" Silver/Gray/Black backpacks include: safety scissor, 10-packs of blue pens, pencil sharpener, 10-packs of black pens; 6 by 2 pocket folders; composition book; 12 colored pencils; 24-pack crayons; storage box; 3 rolls of clear tape; calculator; plastic ruler; 1-pack of index cards; 2-packs of glue stick; 120-page spiral notebook; 6-piece math set; 18-pack yellow standard; #2 Pencils and 1-pack of sticky notes.
The goal from day one has been, 50 states, 2500 backpacks per state.
It's 2500 Pre-filled Backpack per State
To accomplish this mission and guarantee its success in every state, we need your help. Please select the state that you would like to make a contribution to. For every state, we have selected three schools, an elementary, middle and high school, that has a high percentage of students from low income families in need of help; we will divide the 2500, accordingly.
By the time a student enters 5th grade or middle school, they lose interest due to their living conditions, lack of clothing or not having the basic essentials they need to learn. Most, will cut class or simply give up and/or act-out daily, embarrassed by what they do not have in comparison to those that have. Parents, guardians, undoubtedly, try their best to meet the needs of their child's education. Unfortunately, due to the many budget constraints and economic hardships, they fall short in doing so...Our future generation is suffering.
If we all unite and put are resources together, the impact we would make would be tremendous! This national event is an opportunity for us to make a difference, and we invite you to join our mission and take this journey with us. Lets put a dent in statistics, help these flourishing and brilliant young souls be a part of the population - the society that is not frowned upon.
