I'm launching a corset making business!
Exquisitely Waisted Designs is exactly what it sounds like: designs luxuriously crafted to sculpt your waist with stunning results. From sturdy waist training corsets to elaborately embellished works of art, it's my goal to craft a corset that will make your waist look exquisite.
Background
I've been making corsets for five years and sewing for twice as long. With a degree in both Business and Theatre (Costuming) and a serious love for making corsets, I'm ready to officially launch my business. I'm not just jumping into this by any means, I've spent the last few years planning this out carefully and now I'm looking for a little bit of help with some of the up front costs.

You'll notice that several of my costs involve paying other artists for their work. I believe strongly that all artists I collaborate with, even others who are just starting out like me, deserve proper compensation, so a good part of this funding will go towards not just helping me as an artist but helping other artists as well!
Rewards
$5: You'll get your name on a Thank You page on EWD's website and my undying gratitude!
$10: A mention in a video personally thanking donors by name, posted to the waistedlives tumblr page, plus the Thank You reward.
$50: Receive a framed design sketch of one of the launch samples, along with both Thank You rewards. (Sketch is randomly selected.)*
$125: Receive a custom Angel at a discounted rate after launch, plus both Thank You rewards. (Will retail around $150-175+shipping.)*
$300: Receive one of the underbust samples from the launch line of your choosing, along with both Thank You rewards.**
$400: Receive one of the overbust samples from the launch line of your choosing, along with both Thank You rewards.**
*All physical rewards will be shipped via USPS after the official launch. Samples and sketches should be out later this year, after photoshoots, and Angels will be the first orders in my work queue after launch. Domestic US shipping costs are included in the donation amount, please inquire about international shipping.
**Models for the samples have not yet been selected and may not be standard model sizes. If you are interested in one of the sample rewards, feel free to contact me about sizing and I may be able to work out getting a model in a size similar to you for a better fit. ;)
Sketches
These sketches are of the initial line I'll be launching. These are also the sketches that are available in the $50 reward level. They will be framed and sent with a personal thank you note!
Left to right:
Plunge overbust embellished with feathers, twisted spikes, and crystals. Paired with matching skirt and fascinator.
Short hipped cincher made of jewel toned fabric with black beading, paired with a matching ensemble with black net peplums and sleeves.
Pastel dupioni midbust with hip gores covered in scalemaille.
Left to right:
Pointed underbust with alternating panels of taffeta and mesh, embellished with crystals with matching neck corset.
Black coutil waist training corset with black silk chiffon dressing gown.
Chest binding waistcoat corset out of a pinstripe wool with tailored, working flap pockets on hips.
Angel: High backed, short hipped cincher, Four panels, two layers of coutil, single boned. Designed to act as a compliment to a standard bra to make it fit like a longline. (Plus the added bonus of a cinched waist!)
