Help raise funds for African designers.
In past years, many talented designers have encountered challenges in attempts to present their collections during Fashion Week due to difficulty raising the funds to travel to Los Angeles. Thus, the “African Designer Fund Project” was born. This project will raise funds for international designers to alleviate the financial burdens involved with traveling abroad. The ADFP will run from June to August. We envision raising enough funds to sponsor three elite international designers so that they may participate in the African Fashion Collective at Style Fashion Week. The designers will be traveling from various parts of the continent and will need financial assistance with airfare, accommodations, and fees associated with Fashion Week.

Continent Creative is a celebrated producer of fashion collectives (Africa Fashion & Art Week formerly Africa Fashion Week Los Angeles) that benefit and highlight the African Diaspora. Our mission is to promote African culture and bridge the gap between U.S. buyers and African designers. This year, we have partnered with Style Fashion Week LA to present Africa is Rising: African Fashion Collective. We know that this partnership will provide one of the largest platforms for established African creatives to showcase their talents. We will connect international partners, business leaders, local buyers, agents, editors, celebrities, and industry insiders to the vibrant fashion that Africa has to offer. Our event will take place during Los Angeles Fashion Week in October 2014.
