You may be wondering ... what is African Academics? And, why does it matter to me?
The Law and Association Society runs The International Research Collaborative - this collaborative gives academics from developing nations the opportunity to fly to a conference location and present their research. The 2017 conference is being held in Mexico City with African Academics as the focus. People representing African academia will present global law and society research at a multinational convention.
This research MATTERS as it helps provide new insights for the struggling countries. The focus on the law and regulation, banking and corporate governance will pave the way for new thinking to guide struggling economies. A focus on finance, regulation, law and banking is needed and the African Academics must lead that way for Africa as a continent to be less dependent on the West.
Funding this research group is a great start to growing the brain trust in AFRICA, on the ground, with Academics who have devoted their lives to teaching and researching economic and financial improvement.
Where will my donation go?
Donations will pay for airfare/lodging for Academics to travel to the conference. Meeting in person is very important to the collaborative. Not all speakers are native English speakers and being together will help communication and spark ideas.
So... why donate?
Africa is important financially now that it is globally intertwined. A successful group of African countries participating in the global market could mean less dependence on aid, jobs, hope, a ladder out of poverty. Your participation in this effort by donating to African Academics will bring this one step closer to happening.
