Thirteen year-old Advait Patel is a Life Master, youngest ever State Champion in adults section two times back to back and current highest rated playerin Oklahoma. He has been qualifing 3 years in a row to represent USA in the World Youth Championships held in UAE, South Africa & Greece and also qualified for next year.
Advait happened to play chess first when he was on vacation in India.As soon as we got back he had already developed a passion for the game & within a year at the age of 8 he was playing as many tournaments possible not only in scholastic section but also in the adults section.
Some of his remarkable achievements are:
2015July-Winner of the most prestigious Barber Tournament [National Championship K-8 section] back to back
2014July-Winner of the Barber Tournament [National Championship K-8 section]
2014June-Winner of Oklahoma State Championship
2014June-2nd place as US representative for the North American Youth tournament [US-CAN-MEX under 12]
2014April & 2013Dec-Winner of National Championship [K-8 & K-6 section respectively]
2013 April 2nd place at Super Nationals [K-6 section]
2012- tied for 1st place at 3 different National Championships.
Advait has to travel all over the nation to participate in different levels of tournaments. He has played more than 180 tournaments in the last 4 1/2 years in more than 20 states.
Advait is a National Master and is getting ready to become an International Master for which he needs to play as many big tournaments as he can. He needs to travel more & to distant places for the same.
Please help Advait to keep his amazing work.
