Help Rikki Finish Grad School

Hi Family, Friends, & Colleagues
Wow, what a year this has been! As many of you know, I moved from St. Louis to New York City last year to pursue my Master of Arts in Fashion Studies degree at the No. 1 School of Fashion, Parsons the New School for Design. This past academic year was outstandingly successful. Here are a few of the things that I accomplished:
-I ended the academic year with a 3.8 GPA
-My research was published in an online academic journal
-I traveled to New Orleans to present my research at the Popular Culture Association/American Culture Association National Conference
In addition to all my academic achievements, I also:
-Expanded my freelance writing career as a fashion writer with Bustle
-Attended New York Fashion Week
-Interned with Creative Time
As I gear up for my final year at Parsons, I'm hoping that I can continue to add to this list of achievements with your help. It would mean the world if you could make a donation to ensure that I go on to complete my degree and graduate next May. (And special thanks to those who donated last year; your donations truly made a difference.)
The picture that goes along with this campaign is of my senior year at the University of Missouri, where I graduated with my Bachelor of Journalism degree in 2013. While at the University, I maintained Dean's List status for all four years, was the Press & Publicity Chair for the NAACP, member of the National Association of Black Journalists and member of the Black History Month Committee. I held internships with fashion-related organizations, as well as launched SCULPT magazine, an online publication for emerging artists. This is all to say, that your donation will be put to hard work, and I hope to make each and every one of you proud during my studies.
Thank you so much for reading my story. Please take the time to pass this along to your family and friends, as well as share on your social media sites. I appreciate each and every one of you.
