Academy of Arts & Sciences HS is San Francisco's best kept public school secret.
We are school who serves a poulation of about 340 diverse students from all over the city limits.
Academy has been open for a short 10 years and has been running with its own administration for the past 2.
This year the Associated Student Body (ASB) is trying to create a real HS experince, much like the ones we did as teens. They have already hosted their first all school rally and it was a success, this week is our first Spirit Week of the year followed by what we call "Wolf Invasion" which is much like Homecomming everywhere else. ASB is working hard to leave a legacy and build traditions that live at Academy for years to come. That's where you our community comes into place. Each class has a goal to raise $ for trips, class activities, school gear, and to ultimetly have an amazing HS experiance. This year the Seniors need to raise $ for senior trip to Disneyland, a Senior BBQ, graduation and Senior day trip to a Giants Baseball game.
The current Juniors want to be the first Academy class to host their own Junior/Senior Prom.
The Sophomores want to start planning for thier future at Acadeny by going on class trip and hosting their own school dance.
The Freshman, they want to buy class shirts to make a loud statement this school year and hold thier own class trip at the end of the school year.
Alll these ideas cost $ and since we are new to the ASB game we need some start up cash. If you support us you would be helping to create some amazing HS memories for this SF city youth. Think about how fun HS was for you, or if it wasnt think about how much fun it could have been if people like you gave a little to help the cause.
