Let me start by claiming boldly, our daughter is healed by the blood of Jesus.

As a Mama asking for the generosity of others, I wanted to share our full story.

Around the end of May 2018, we notice our 5 year old baby girl was slurring her speech some. I took her to and ENT thinking it was an ear/sinus infection. No such luck, we were told she had low level hearing loss. Ok, so we prepared for possible hearing deficits. Then a few weeks went by and we notice she was beginning to stumble frequently. Then on June the 24th we noticed she wasn’t using her right arm well and was dragging her right foot when she walked. On advice from our pediatrician, we went straight to Cooks Children’s. At this time we thought we were dealing with a possible infection or worse case, a stroke. Then the doctor came in with Ct scan result. “ She has a mass at the base of her brain. It could be on her brain stem or in it. An MRI would be needed to determine. At this point it doesn’t look like it’s operable.” My MIL and I were devastated. My husband was racing home from work 6 hours away and I had to tell him over the phone his baby girl has a brain tumor that they can’t take out. We were admitted; still in shock. That night we met with the pediatric oncologist on call and she did not tell us much more than we already knew other than the scan showed it was consistent with cancer. That was the longest night I’ve ever had. Daddy arrived and got in bed with his doodlebug as the room was filled with family and friends trying wrap our head around what we had been told. All the while our sweet baby was just begging to please take her home. Monday the 25th they take her for an mri. They have to sedate her (which was horrible). After a few hours, the oncologist team takes our family (minus our 10 yr old son) into a room where they tell us our baby girl has DIPG. An inoperable tumor inside her brain stem. There is no cure, there is no conventional treatment. Then, and I understand they were just doing their job, but they tell us... she has maximum 6-9 months to live. During that time we will see steady increase in her symptoms to the point she will not be able to feed or dress herself and one day she just won’t wake up.

We left that night and brought our girl home. On Wednesday the 27, we heard from MDANDERSON in Houston. They have a clinical trial for DIPG cases. On Thursday we met with MDAnderson’s pediatric oncology team. They gave us more grim news ; (from a medical perspective) with no treatment... 3-6 months; with radiation 9-12; with this trial possibly 2 years. As your reading this, I hope you can empathize with the gut wrenching agony those words, that fear did to us. We came back home and got straight into God’s word. Surrounded our home with friends and family in agreement with our beliefs and goals.

God says in His word, we have been redeemed from the curse of sickness and disease by the blood of Jesus! We stand firm on His promise.

We respect the doctors involved in our daughters case. We believe God is working a miracle in Abby’s life. He’s working in all our lives. As any parent can understand, Abby needs her Daddy and I both with her throughout this journey.

We are raising funds for her medical needs, family support and the ability to make some amazing memories. Anything you can contribute will be immensely appreciated. Thank you for your time. God Bless Each and Every One. In Jesus name!
