Fighting My Cancer with Exercise!

Donation protected

Hey everyone!

First off, thank you for reading this.

My whole life has always been about helping others and giving whatever I can. Whether it was money, food, shelter, coaching youth sports for ten seasons, or even just lending an ear and advice to a friend at 3 AM, I wanted to reach out and help those who needed help.

The one thing I never thought I would hear was told me to by the doctor: A 6.4cm x 6.4cm tumor (now up to 6.5cm) on one kidney and a 1cm tumor on the right kidney.

Now that the shock has warn off, I know I will be in for a few rough months ahead. While I know I will beat all of this and continuing being an advocate for informed patients and kidney cancer, it is a bit stressful, honestly.

Not only am I fighting this (and a few other things that popped up during the latest scans), but I also am expecting a little guy (or girl) in December. Trying times for tough people, indeed.

My wife is my hero, my life, and I don't want to put her through any more than she already is. If you know me, I already put her through enough!

The National Institute of Health (NIH) just accepted me to be seen by them (Kidney Cancer is a rare cancer and they want to study me more since this rare cancer got to me at a young age). Between going there, being out for a bit from work (I'm one of those entrepreneurs trying to make life happen for me and those around me), and trying to keep up with getting ready for a new baby, it's getting tough.

I'm not one to ask for anything for free ever, but the bills and travelling to NIH (the National Institute of Health) are going to be adding up and I would like to have her with me because honestly, this scares me (even though I'm tough as nails and always happy), and she has always been my rock.

So instead of just asking you to give me something, I will also give you something:

For every $1 donated, I will do a jumping jack.
For every $10 donated, I will do a pushup.
For every $25 donated, I will do a sit up.
For every $50 donated, I will run a mile.

I will personally email every single person a gracious thank you, too.

I will also VIDEOTAPE and post online and count every single jumping jack, pushup, situp, and mile I run to show you how grateful I am. I won't do it all at one time, of course, but I will record each and every one.

And I decided I'm going to do video blogs and use this as kind of my blogging journal and entry for everyone to see.

This isn't just about me anymore. This is about helping others and getting people to learn that "this can happen to you." Those aches and pains are really telling you something.

Either way, there are so many amazing people out there and hearing news like this can make you do one of two things: sit back and accept it or run forward and take it head on.

I'm taking it head on and I'm asking you if you are with me!

Thank you for reading. Bless and be blessed.
