We're raising money to fill up the car and drive it to Calais where people are in desperate need of food, clothes, and shelter. The date is TBC while we arrange the time off work and the best date for the volunteers on the ground to receive the items, but we're aiming for the September Weekend which only gives us 3 weeks to get the money and supplies we need - this makes every donation very important!
The money raised will pay for diesel & the Eurotunnel, and a car full of items off a list of from people on the ground at Calais. If we don't raise enough money for the trip, we'll donate anything raised to CalAid, and if we beat our target then we'll look at swapping to a car with a trailer at Manchester in order to take more stuff, and if we massively overachieve then anything left over will be donated to CalAid.
