Hey all my friends.
This year has been a hard one. I have not received any finicial donations for wildlife rehab from any donors. In Connecticut, wildlife rehabilitators do not get paid by the state. We depend on your caring acts to help us, but most of it comes out of our pockets. That's why I usually hold more then one job. If this continues, I will not be able to actively rehab.
Not only am I trying to raise funds for food and basic supplies, but my ourdoor cage needs to either be fixed or replaced. Donations do not have to be money based. Gift certificates to grocery stores, hardware stores, and supply sites (like Chris's Squirrels and more) are very welcome. If you have but trees I will gladly take acorns, black walnuts, or hickory nuts.
Ansonia Nature and Recreation Center in Ansonia CT is no longer taking infants and now closes at 5:00PM. I, along with other rehbbers, have gotten a lot more calls since they had to change their intake and hours. You all know how much I love to rehab, educate, and help others. I want to keep doing this, but in order to do so, I really need your help. Thank you all for caring!
