Dear Kind People,
Suzanne Britt Collier's home in Effingham County, Georgia, USA was totally destroyed last night (6/9/2014). Suzanne is a 65 year old widow with a disability living on a fixed and very tight income. She lost some of her beloved pets and many mementoes, heirlooms and items of sentimental value. Besides the great personal tragedy there is now the concern of shelter (temporary and permanent) and provisions for her and her remaining pets. Suzanne’s friends are hoping to partner with various service organizations: the Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, United Way and Alpha Phi Omega (APO) - a service fraternity, to build Suzanne a smaller home, put in better drainage, replace some fencing, and add a small outdoor pen and shelter for the pets.
We are trying to get the word out to raise funds towards this project. Any contributions would be greatly appreciated.
