Keep My Family Together Please

My name is Caitriona Power. I came over here from Ireland and my dearest wish was to complete my high school education in the U.S. I graduated on June 6th, 2014. My parents and I also wanted to come over here due to the economic situation in Ireland and hoped to find jobs to support us. My dad is a native Philadelphian. He and my mother Mary met and married in Ireland. My mother is here on a 2 year visa waiver. This means she has to enter and leave the U.S. within a 90-day period of time. The cost of plane tickets to and from Ireland has taken a large chunk out of any funds that we have managed to save up. It is my dream to stay here and continue my education here. This will require both my mother and father to be here in the U.S. to make that happen.
My mother is due to fly back to Ireland on July 6th to comply with the requirements of her visa. Her wish and dream is for her to apply for a green card so that she can legally work here and contribute toward our family’s finances and my education. In order to apply for a green card, $2,000 is required. Our dream is to raise that amount of money so that my mother can stay here and continue living here. Once the application is completed, she can get a work permit and can remain in the U.S. while the application is being processed.
