Uncle's Cancer Fund

Donation protected
My uncle, Melvin, has always been healthy and has kept up with all of his physicals, doctor appointments, procedures, and labs to be active in preventative care. As of May everything was as it should be for him and then suddenly he began feeling fatigued and unwell. We thought it may be a flu, until it didn't go away unusually. He went in for labs and to see the doctor about what was going on and he was told there was something else going on that needed to be determined. I came back from a trip to California in mid-July to find out he was told he has Lymphoma in what is thought to be Stage 3 at this point. The system and process has been slow and the waiting game rough to find out more precise information. We are currently awaiting appointments for bone marrow and lymph node biopsies. There are still so many unknowns, but as anybody would, my aunt and uncle have already felt the sting of the financial stress that comes along with such a sudden cancer diagnosis. He is going to need chemotherapy already, as well. Within a month and half, everything's been shaken up and is escalating beyond what our minds and hearts can keep up with. They don't know I'm trying to help raise money for the expenses as I saw the first doctor visit bill and cringed at the dollar value on 10 minutes of speaking with the doctor despite still being so in the dark. It hurt my heart. These are the sweetest human beings and they have always been so selfless, giving, and kind. To me and to everyone around them. I just hate to be so helpless when they have done so much for me and taken me in when I moved to Florida without asking a thing of me. They took my parents in when they had me young, they help provide for and raised some of my less fortunate cousins as their own children, my aunt works in the school system as an ESE secretary and regularly volunteers her own time and money to run ESE and Special Olympic events, and so much more that is hard to relay on a mobile app or through words. They are such genuine, sincere individuals and I just feel they should have all the happiness and help. Any assistance and support would be so much appreciated and I'll keep any donators up-to-date as we get filled in, as well. If you can't donate, please spread this around to friends and family, my reach alone, is slim.

Thank you for hearing me out for now.

With love and hope,
Janelle.
