I am the niece of Park Chung Hwan and Ko Ae Suk. Two people who devoted their lives to Christ. Two of the best people I know. God blessed me with an amazing gift when he decided that these two people would raise my mother. Both got their green cards to come live in America a month ago - a prayer that the Lord answered. I was so excited that my aunt and uncle would only be 3 hours away rather than a days worth of travel to South Korea.
But on July 26, 2015, my uncle (Park Chung Hwan) was stabbed to death by another man during a night service at church in Washington D.C. My aunt tried to help him and was stabbed multiple times in the process. She is in recovery after her surgery from Sunday night. The loss of my uncle and the tragedy that fell upon my aunt is something I will never understand. I thank the Lord that my aunt is not gone but I grieve for the loss of my uncle. A man that did not deserve such a death.
