A Pip of Joy's Medical Help Fund

11/2/17 SPECIAL UPDATE:
We were very moved to read this message from our friend, Emilie Woodward. So we're adding it to Pip's Go Fund Me Story.  The post that began this campaign follows, after Emilie's.  With hugs & tail wags to all!

I support Pip's GoFundMe campaign for many reasons:

1. He is just too cute. I mean, come on!
2. He is a survivor.
3. Yes, there is lots of fight in that little furry package!
4. His mom is a survivor, too.
5. I figure when pet owners open GoFundMe campaigns, they are sacrificing something for themselves so that their pets can get the care they need.
6. So I am supporting a family. It doesn't get much better than that.

Please join me in supporting Pip's medical expenses/GoFundMe campaign! The world needs Pip a whole lot longer -- not to mention more Pips and Helenes to keep us remembering kindness.

Dear Friends,

We are still feeling the glow of gratitude for your help with last year's Go Fund Me campaign when Pip was recovering from serious back issues as well as dealing with other chronic medical conditions.

We were so relieved for your support that enabled us to pay his mounting medical bills.  All your well wishes and emotional support made a big difference to us, as well.  We didn't feel so alone in going through such a worrying time.

Overall, Pip is doing well but he recently dealt with a bout of pancreatitis. We were fortunate that the initial treatment for that was successful. He's now on a special diet, though, to prevent any recurrence.

That also means that Yours Truly and local friends are building extra resolve when Pip gives us "The Look." You know the one, when your creature tries to wear you down in giving him or her food that they love but that would likely make them sick. Lord knows, "The Look" is hard to resist!

Pip continues to take his meds and do follow-up visits to control his Addison's Disease and to keep his back and neck healthy. I continue to carry him up and down flights of stairs, which has made a big difference for him (and reminds me to do my own back and neck exercises!).

Pip recently showed small signs of back complications but we think we've caught them in time, with the help of his vet and tweaking his regimen to keep him healthy and pain-free.

With all this going on, we decided to do another Go Fund Me campaign. We're reaching out in case you can help to defray some of Pip's recent unexpected vet and medicine bills, as well as those for his chronic conditions.

Many of you know that Pip and I are family. Folks often see us as a pair and many greet Pip before they do me. I've gotten used to being Second Banana!

But I'm not complaining. Pip, The Prince, His Highness, A Pip of Joy, has filled my life with such love , laughter, comfort and joy! He also brightens up the day for anyone we meet on our walks, errands-around-town and the local drives that he loves. In fact, I'm sure I wouldn't be allowed to visit some friends without the trusty Prince at my side!

So thanks for any help you can offer with this current Go Fund Me campaign for Pip. Any donations will go toward the recent medical bills I mentioned as well as for some upcoming follow-up visits and medicines.

Thank you and our best to you and your special creatures!

Helene and His Highness, Prince Pip
