Cameroon Mission Trip (with WycliffeUSA)

Dear friends and families,

The Lord has officially given me this incredible opportunity！ From this June 2nd to 23rd, I'll be going to serve on a Wycliffe Bible Translators' GET Global team to Cameroon!

This trip will provide me the chances of learning the basics of linguistics, building relationships with the Taku people, and strengthening local missionary work such as projecting the JESUS film in the tribal language.

I currently a high school junior at Boston Trinity Academy, a place where I am exposed to a variety of ways to serve God's kingdom. Especially with the guidance of my French teacher, I got to know the Wycliffe Bible Translators organization and learn about inspiring stories from the missionaries all over the world. So I started to imagine a day when I will go back to China and be a Bible translator and educator to tell the story of Jesus to the unheard young generation: Times and times again I was certain that this was absolutely just a figment of my daydreaming, but somehow the Lord seemed to make all things work together to surprise me: In just a few months, I finished the application and soon heard great news from the Wycliffe of my acceptance to the GET Global Trip to Cameroon!

As I am eager to see what God will do in and through me on this challenging mission adventure, I am really, really, really (!...) THANKFUL for all those of you who have encouraged and supported me through spiritual journey, and those of you who put financial investment into the missionary works all over the world! We all PRAY as we get TOGETHER and SERVE FOR HIS KINGDOM! Amen!

今年暑假6月7日，我将有幸赴非洲西部的喀麦隆乡镇区域参与美国威克里夫圣经翻译机构（Wycliffe Bible Translators USA）组织的长达2周的"GET全球游系列"å®£æ•™ä»»åŠ¡ã€‚这次行程的重心是学习当地的方言（Taku民族所日常使用的Limbum语言）和培养一些基础的经文翻译能力；除此之外，我还有机会与当地社区的弟兄姊妹建立和睦的联系和友谊，甚至将基督教影片《耶稣》（近年宣教士们已经将该影片配音为当地方言的版本）普及到当地家庭中去。感谢主！近两个月来我已经开始为这次短期宣教任务进行准备，并且迫不及待地渴望去揭示主在前方路上为我准备的惊喜！

我目前于一所基督教私立中学，波士顿三一学院，就读高二（十一年级）；也正是两年以前，我离开家乡浙江宁波，来到美国求学。在这两年的时间里，我在住宿家庭的鼓励下一步一步接触基督教、学习主的话语；我在大波士顿国语基督教会林牧师以及各位弟兄姊妹的关心和帮助下决志信仰并且于2013å¹´3月31日在教会受洗。我开始努力学习圣经，并且常常对照不同的中英文译本来理解经文的主旨。然而我渐渐发现中文圣经的语言组织和用词对于跟我同一年龄的青少年们来说颇具挑战性，于是我心中开始萌生一种改写中文圣经的愿望"”"”但是至于如何将文字通俗化而不改变原文的主旨，一直以来是十分复杂的任务。去年感恩节假期，我尝试将《旧约·ä¼ é“书》的前4章译成较为通俗、现代的中文，却发现诸如此类的翻译工作需要我大量阅读各个时期的第二手资料，因此很难坚持下去。不久以后，我在学校偶然间和我的法语老师提起了我翻译圣经时所遇到的困难；我的法语老师同样也是一位兼职的译经工作者，于是她很快将美国威克里夫组织的一系列活动介绍给了我，也由此真正点燃了我传播经文的梦想。我希望经过像这次行程一样的宣教和译经培训，有一天我能真正为翻译、核对、完善经文做出一定贡献，并且能够回到故国从事相关的教育工作。

我感谢主在一片不确定之中为我铺垫出了一条光明的路，给予我正确的指点。感谢主顺利地帮我渡过申请的难关，感谢主动员我身边的熟人、朋友、家人来支持我的计划。在我提交申请以后便很快接到了肯定的应答，这更是主的赐福！我也感谢我的学校为我提供各式各样赞美主、体验主、服侍主的机会，更加感谢我的法语老师能够有心帮助我找到这样合适、有意义、令人兴奋的宣教机会。最后，我真心感谢正在阅读这封信的各位弟兄姊妹，因为正是你们对这次行程，以及全世界各地千千万万正在进行的宣教工作的关注和支持，我们共同服侍祂国的心愿和目标才会更顺利地实现。
