Girl Talk, Talk Back creates a judgement free environment for girls to talk about their concerns, insecurities and differences. We understand that a lot of girls within the age range of 9-17 are dealing with self-esteem issues, bullying and trying to "fit in". These issues can result in eating disorders, depression, and even suicide. Our goal is to stop these issues before they start but also be a resource for those who are actually experiencing any of those situations. With a full support system and strong relationships, we are striving to build a resilient group of young women who are equipped with the proper resources and confidence to handle these problems effectively. We create an outlet for girls to express themselves and work together to create positive social change.

Our weekly GTTB sessions establish peer to peer relationships, build confidence, and uplift our girls to make positive changes within their life and community. In these meetings we discuss real life issues within our own communities, in school and in the world. The girls have open dialogue while encouraging each other, devising plans and solutions, and being a support system for one another. GTTB encourages self-love, building strong relationships, and working together to make a difference.

Aside from meeting weekly GTTB participates in a variety of different activities, takes trips, and takes advantage of volunteer and community service opportunities. They also participate in workshops and classes for personal development.

GTTB takes a serious approach to academic success. We reward and recognize those who make their education a top priority. Report cards and progress reports are monitored and GTTB works collectively with our girls and their families to focus on academic achievement. We require all members of GTTB to take their education seriously.

GTTB also puts focus on entrepreneurship. While some of our members already have their own businesses, we encourage those who are interested in being business owners to take the steps to get there. Every girl in our program has their own personal talent and we make sure it has its' opportunity to shine!

GTTB is a voluntary association with the goal of becoming a 501c3. We are looking for sponsors to help fund some of our programs as we are currently self funded and rely on fundraising an minimal monthly dues to keep the program going.

Sponsoring the program will give us the opportunity to provide a longstanding program that will truly make a difference!

GTTB ENTREPRENEURIAL EXPO -

Saturday, March 19, 2015

Do you have a young artist, baker, designer, lawyer, doctor, teacher etc. in your home? Or a young lady who is passionate about her craft and has a goal for her future? The GTTB Entrepreneurial Expo is a chance for her put all of her dreams together and display them in a Expo like setting.

Career based dreamers have the chance to be a doctor by displaying what their practice offers or be a lawyer and display information about their firm. A judging panel will be onsite picking winners to be awarded for their displays at theGTTB AWARD AND SCHOLARSHIP CEREMONY. The goal is to provide the grand prize winner with a $3000 scholarship to put towards their venture and education. Runner ups will also receive a small scholarship. BWU has a goal to provide each girl with a small award and scholarship for their participation.

We understand that the cost associated with being a Y.Q. in this program and want to make sure that all children interested in participating are given a chance. Therefore this fund will help to bring in out of state girls, fund the supplies needed to create an attractive display, and will help fund the scholarships provided to these young ladies.

GTTB Award and Scholarship Ceremony

After so much hard work, how can we not let our young ladies know how much we appreciate them. It's time to reward them for their exceptional talent and dedication to this cause. BWU Media and Entertainment Group will be hosting our very own ceremony to not only celebrate the winners of the GTTB Entreprenuerial Expo contest BUT for their many accolades and academic achievements.

GTTB is looking to spotlight 5 amazing Young Queens who are making strides across the country and helping to make the world a better place. Each winner is required to donate a portion of their winnings to the a local non profit.

So what do we need from you? We definitely need your help. In order to host something this amazing and beneficial to our young women, we need our communities to get involved. GTTB has calculated that for each child involved there is a cost of $150 - $300 for their participation depending on their location. We have hopes of sponsoring many young girls in surounding states by providing travel allowances and project grants.

We are also looking for sponsors so as a result no Y.Q. walks away empty handed. GTTB is an affiliate of DCRC and is a not for profit voluntary association. All funds received will be used for the purpose of pursuing all of the above listed objectives and making the program run smooth and efficiently.
