Vote Yes' Journey to Advanced

THE EXCITEMENT OF 3-DAY EVENTING
Eventing is a sport which continues to grow rapidly, attracting interest from all levels of sports enthusiasts across the globe. Eventing can be termed as an "equestrian triathlon." It involves working with a horse, both on the flat and over fences. The three phases: dressage, endurance (or cross-country), and show jumping are sure to keep spectators on the edge of their seats with the mix of beauty, elegance, and adrenaline. Particularly the cross-country phase of competition sets Eventing apart from other equestrian disciplines, where horse and rider must be incredibly in-synch to conquer massive obstacles at fast speeds,
including water drops and ditches. A great deal of training is involved, especially for the top level of the sport, where horses must be perfectly conditioned and riders must be in tune with their equine partner's every move to achieve success. Men and women compete against one another on an equal playing field, making eventing one of the few sports in the world where this is the case.

Few will ever make it to the top level, and those who do
represent an elite group that are considered to be among the
best athletes in the world from any sport.

Cynthia Wiseman and Vote Yes have competed successfully to the CIC** and Intermediate level of competitive horse trials, the goal for 2014....the pinnacle of our sport, Advanced level.

Vote Yes is an 18 year old off-track thoroughbred by Triple Crown winner Affirmed. He is a keen cross-country horse and a brave, independent thinker. He has earned the title "RockStar" and even has his own song before heading out cross country. He is opinionated yet sensible with an excellent work ethic.

Cynthia Wiseman, 41 years old, juggles aspirations of Advanced Level eventing with the real life role of wife, mother and a career as a small-animal veterinarian. She earned her USEA Instructor Certification in 2007 and helps fund her equestrian pursuits by teaching riding lessons, training and selling horses in her "down" time.

Career highlights for this pair include the Hagyard MidSouth CCI* Classic Full Format 3-Day in 2009 and the Richland Park CIC** in 2013. Cynthia has earned top finishes at numerous horse trials, including the win at Intermediate at Colorado Horse Trials with Vote Yes in 2012.Cynthia and Vote Yes earned their USEA Blue Ribbon Award at Intermediate Level in 2012. That same year Cynthia was awarded the USEA Governor's Cup for dedication to the sport of eventing. In 2013, Cynthia and Vote Yes finished 11th in the nation in the Open Intermediate at the American Eventing Championships.

Competing at the upper levels of eventing is no easy task, especially from their location in Southwest Missouri. Travel is a large portion of the cost associated with competing a horse at the top levels of the sport. The 2014 competition schedule includes high-caliber events in North Carolina, Montana, Georgia and Michigan.

Thank you for helping Cynthia Wiseman and Stone Ridge Eventing's super-athlete, Vote Yes in their quest to compete at Advanced!
