Antithesis to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame which, for years, has come under attack and scrutiny for its prejudicial and less-than-ethical admission criteria, will be the University of Rock.
Your funds will support the construction of a completely new venue--open to the public for "recommended donation" admission fee. The University of Rock will induct bands, selected by the PUBLIC, through a process (yet to be defined), which will mirror the artist's contributions, popularity, album sales, etc. of an artist (or band) and NOT based on a "board of trustees" or other private decision-making body.
Transparency of the nomination, admission, induction, and promotion process will be 100%--and driven by state-of-the-art technology.
Bands will be nominated and eventually categorized as "Assistant" Professors, "Associate" Professors, or "Full" Professors of Rock and Roll--depending on artist longetivity, album sales, public voting, contributions, reputation, etc. This tiered-level of membership will allow bands to quickly become members of the University and, with time, rise to the level of Full Professors of Rock and Roll congruent with the public's approval. The title of "Professor" will be reserved ONLY for the highest attaining artists in both public voting and accomplishment.
The title would be expected to be given to no more than 10% of all inductees.
The title would be the equivalent to recieving a "Nobel Prize" in Rock and Roll. Any proceeds, after expenses, will fund scientific research--research to be chosen by a committee of medical doctors, scientists, researchers, etc.
Construction will begin when the funding (for purchase of land and building permits, architectural plans, etc.) reaches the monetary goal. Construction in a metropolitan Arizona location is anticipated--for ease of airport access, favorable weather, available land, etc.
A $2.00 donation from 1,000,000 individuals, who believe in a better process than that used by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for induction into their ranks, is the premise behind the fund-raising.
Induction alone is not the honor. Rising to a full professorship of Rock and Roll will remain the ultimate honor bestowed by the public,on the artist: The "Nobel-Prize" of Rock.

If enough funds are raised, and the non-profit can become self-sustaining, profits will support music education, scientific research--free of NIH red-tape--making it easier to support the advancement of science--while, at the same time, letting the people choose THEIR Rock and Roll inductees--not a committee or "board of trustees." Only the board of trustees will determine scientific funding, not induction, into the University of Rock.
