"Unity" - A film about the history and current status of race relations in America.

Our plans include a number of "stories that need to be told" including a film on various points of history for upstate NY as well as an upcoming drama film project.
This funding effort will film a shorter version of 30 minutes for our film "Unity". We will take a objective look at the history and current status of race relations in our country.
Recent events clearly show that we need to do this project.
My hope is to produce a version that parents will show their 10 year old children. Perhaps some teachers will even want to show our film to their classes.
It is time for this story. I hope you will help us get it done.
These funds will be used for some equipment, insurance and travel cost. Our plans include a wide area of geography from Brooklyn to Syracuse, NY.
It will require another round of funding for the resources to film in Little Rock and Memphis. That round will be in the 10 K area. If we exceed that amount we will try and film in Montgomery and Selma.
I am a full time producer for advertising so I already own most of the expensive equipment. This also means that I am experienced in the business of production. I can get this project done at a very low budget but still be a project all of us can be proud of.
