UNCW Cyber Defense Team Fund

The UNCW Cyber Defense Club (UNCWCDC) provides college students a chance learn the critical knowledge and skills needed to defend computers and networks. UNCWCDC members attend weekly workshops hosted by the club and compete in nationwide competitions such as the Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC) and the National Cyber League (NCL). Many of our former members go on to work for companies such as IBM, GE, and MetLife in Information Security related roles. However, we need help upgrading our systems and paying for competition expenses that help prepare our members for such success.


$5 to buy 1 meal for 1 member during competition
$15 to buy 1 GB of RAM to speed up our servers
$25 to pay for registration for 1 member for NCL
$50 to pay for 1 night at a hotel for 1 member during competition
$100 to rent a van for 1 day of competition
$300 to pay registration for 1 year of SECCDC
$500 to pay for one new laptop for the club
