Help me ride with my father!

This year has proved to be a tough one. My eldest son was taken quite ill with a rare illness that was not diagnosed properly for months. He could not get out of bed or function and was taken out of school His brain was severely affected and I had to spend months off work taking care of him.

I'm happy to report my son is doing much better now after months of doctor visits and lots of specialists. He is finally able to function and is improving every day. As I saw what my son was going through, I realized how fleeting life is and how quickly it passes us by. Especially with family. I thought of my own father and brother whom I've rarely seen over the past ten years and I came up with an idea, a dream maybe. So here it is:

I'm asking for help from friends and family to do something I've never done before: Take a trip with my own father and brother who I have only seen a few times over the last 10 years. It would mean a great deal to be able to do something special with the both of them as my dad is getting up there in age and has a long term illness where this may be the last time we all have this opportunity to do something together.

The purpose of this trip is to go on a famous motorcycle ride called "Tail of the Dragon." It would be incredible for the 3 of us to do so together.

I'm not in a position to make promises of gifts or what have you, but I will share our happy photos along the way and the cool adventure this will bring us all.
