Enigma B Special Travel Bed Fund

B was born in 2008 and has Phelan-McDermid Syndrome, affectionately known as PMS. It's a rare chromosome disorder (deletion of chromosome 22q13) with about only 1000 known cases worldwide. B has no speech and his mobility is impaired but he is a happy, busy little boy who enjoys building blocks and watching Thomas the Tank Engine.B was diagnosed with Global Developmental Delay from around the age of 6 months and life has been a challenge and struggle. B's nickname "Enigma B" came about because from the early days no-one knew what was really 'wrong' with him. Professionals called him an enigma because he didn't 'tick any other boxes'. We had a long list of syndromes he DID NOT have. B is unique, rare, and an enigma.In 2014 we took B to the annual conference for PMS in Orlando, Florida. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity that was made possible by your generousity. It give us the chance to meet with Dr Phelan herself, who discovered the chromosome disorder and to meet other parents of children with PMS.In the past friends and family have raised funds for the charity Brainwave who support children like B and we are very grateful for these donations. Little Joey's Books also raised money to buy B a special device to help him 'talk'. With your help, we have also received a special custom safety bed for our home. This has been a life changer for us as B is now able to sleep safely and everyone else gets to sleep better too!Now we really need a Travel Special Needs Bed so Enigma B can sleep safely away from home. Holidaying has always been a major challenge for us.
