Townview Big D Band Camp

We are the Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Big "D" Band and we are raising funds for band members to attend our summer band camps, and also to travel to Memphis, TN for a marching band festival during the Labor Day weekend.  Your assistance will help to secure a highly qualified staff,  and alumni,  for our camps.  It will also help to lower the out of pocket expenses for each band member traveling to Memphis.  Our goal is to have 100% of our members attending the marching camps and participating in the Southern Heritage Classic Battle of the Bands.  There are many advantages for students attending camps during the summer.  Our members will have the opportunity to focus, develop and improve thier technical playing skills, tone production, marching technique, neuroloigical multi-tasking (playing and marching simutaniously), team work, communication, time management, creative problem solving, camaderie, discipline, sacrifice and unity.  We want to better equip our members with quality instruction in preparation for city, region, state and college music auditions.  We want to take ownership of our band program and insure that the great legacy of the Big "D" Band remains resilient.  We are actively working in our community raising funds via car washes, pancake breakfasts and performances etc....   We are doing our part too.  We represent Townview!  We represent Dallas ISD.!  We are ambassadors for the City of Dallas.  We represent the great State of Texas and we strive to be world class in everything we do.  Help us to raise much needed funds and allow us to represent you too.  No amount too big or too small.
