TheVegetarianBaker New Camera Fund
Donation protected
As of today (January 1, 2014), I have being creating videos for the youtube channel "TheVegetarianBaker" for two years now. I am a self taught video producer and editor and still very new at the game. However, for 2014, I have made it my goal to make professional content for the world to see. On my channel, I create about one video a week showing some of my favorite vegetarian dishes, baked goods, cookie/cake decorating, and drink recipes. I would love to make this my full time job, but I need to have some new equipment in order to start creating higher quality content.
The $3,000 will cover the cost of the camera that I am eyeing, a Nikon D800 DSLR, plus some extra equipment like a microphone and a external flash.
A little about me:
Name: Jac St. John (sounds like Jake)
At 10, I fell in love with food. Laying in the hospital with my first battle with Chronic Pancreatitis, I found the Food Network. From then on, I couldn't think of anything better do with my life then to cook.
At 16, I grew into shellfish allergy. That is where I become vegetarian and become more focused on baking. I love desserts. To me, it's the final note in a song. If perfect, it will be remembered forever, and if not so perfect, then the whole dinner was ruined.
At 18, I graduated high school and started a Baking and Pastry Arts degree at Johnson & Wales University, in Charlotte, NC. I worked for Disney World as an internship with the school. In May 2012, I graduated with my first degree. I am currently 22 and working on a Food Service Management degree at JWU Charlotte. I will graduate in May of 2014.
Future Plans: I plan on traveling the world and finding new and interesting vegetarian/vegan dishes to share with my supporters.
