Help Me Reach My Dreams!
Hey lovelies!
So, first of all, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to check out this page!
My name is Jazmine Gallate, commonly known by my fight name 'Baby'.
As you'll come to see I am a 17 year old, professional Female Muay Thai fighter from Australia, living and fighting in Phuket, Thailand.
I'm currently trying to make it big here, whilst waiting for my 18th Birthday to come along so I can legally fight on the big shows in Australia, America, etc.
My goal is to become a world champion/multiple champion and inspire men and women of all ages to follow their dreams and show them that anything is possible if you are willing to put in the work, and stay dedicated.
The thing is though, sometimes you put in all the hard work, you do everything you possibly can, and even though training, fighting, school, and your personal life might all be on track, your financial 'stability' is somewhat non-existent.
I'm currently living on a typical nak muay wage, around 4000 baht ($170) and only getting about 2 fights a month at the moment. Until I am 18 it is also illegal for me to work in Thailand... So I'm just a little stuck. We try to get me as many fights as possible, but it is not a sustainable amount to live on here in Phuket. I've also hit with a heap of medical expenses over the past few months that got a bit out of control and were both unexpected and inevitable.
I know many of you would think 'Why not just go back to Australia?' But this is my dream I've fought soooo hard for, and I'm not about to let anything take it from me.
