Moving Forward Sudan

Sudanese people globally have been involved in incredible initiatives for the progression and betterment of Sudan. Whether it's technological innovations, arts and culture, or education, Sudan is definitely moving forward with a rush of creativity and new ideas! One of the most prominent initiatives currently is the work of TEDxKhartoum.

We are very excited to announce this collaboration with TEDxKhartoum and SAPAA in the DC, MD, VA Sudanese community!
TEDx is an initiative of the TED conference, a non-profit organization devoted to "Ideas worth spreading." TED grants free licenses to help ted events spread globally. The biggest TED conference is held in California, where the non-profit originated. The worlds leading thinkers are allowed to give an 18-minute talk to help inspire people in the community. Innovators such as Bill gates are amongst those who presented a ted talk. Anwar Dafa-Allah and his team were able to get a TEDx license in Sudan through hard work and coordination. This has brought people together in extraordinary ways, sparked deep discussions, and created a platform for those who wish to better the country. Now, SAPAA is excited to be working with TEDxKhartoum.
Our plan is to bring awareness to not just TEDxKhartoum's efforts, but to other efforts geared towards the advancement of Sudan, and to create a unifying movement for Sudanese communities around the world. It is important that we all come together in order to see Sudan on the rise once again. SAPAA connects all the Sudanese communities in the country and is the perfect organization to launch this movement! Realizing the importance of coming together in order to see Sudan's rise, we would like to present to the VA, DC, and MD community how we have collaborated with TEDxKhartoum"”with the purpose of re-kindling a love for our motherland and most importantly, cultivating positive attitudes towards Sudan. TEDxKhartoum has created a great foundation for unity in Sudan, we would like to further their efforts here in our community.
How can YOU help us? In order to make this a reality, we need the necessary funds for the venue and other booking costs of assembling the event. Please donate $1, $5, any amount is helpful! All donations will go directly into the event's creation.
It's time for everyone to get educated and do something, to get rid of negative attitudes towards Sudan and renew faith. Collaborating with TEDxKhartoum is a giant leap forward but we need your help!
