Team Kimberly

Beth and Mike Cassell are amazing parents to 7 children. Their 15 year old daughter, Kimberly, was walking to school on February 16th, when she was tragically hit by a village snow plow. Her injuries were extensive but life flight was not available due to the poor weather conditions. She was transported by Tupper Lake rescue to AMC where she is currently in the ICU.

I was able to talk to Beth on a few occasions and she informed me that Kinberly has many injuries but she is stable. She suffered a fractured skull, broken shoulder blade, fractured ribs, collapsed lung, injuries to her spleen and liver and a broken femur. She has a chest tube in place and will also be having surgery once her lungs improve. As of now she is sedated and resting. The doctors have said that she is lucky to be alive. She is an amazingly strong young lady and has such an wonderful spirit. Beth and Mike both are so thankful for the community rallying together to send prayers and well wishes.

With any tragic accident such as this, there is a lot of recovery and healing for the whole family. Your donations will help offset medical bills, time traveling, lost wages and any other incidentals.

Beth mentioned that she was going to be out of work for a long period of time and when Kimberly comes home she will need around the clock care. They will also have to transform their living room into a recovery room for Ms. Kimberly!
