Team Jesses Angels

Approximately 1.5 million Americans have lupus and in DC, Maryland and Virginia there are 80,000 lupus patients alone. Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that attacks the skin, joints and organs. It is not terminal (but it can be life threatening) or contagious, but there is no cure and the first drug in over 50 years was approved this year! To do our part to help lupus patients, WE as a Team ... are walking In October 2014 Richmond, Va. @ the REDSKINS TRAINING CAMP to help raise awareness and walk for a cure. Team Jesses Angels are hosting this Charity Softball Tournament to help raise money to be donated to "The Lupus Foundation of America, DC/MD/VA chapter (LFA-DMV). LFA-DMV provides free education and support services to lupus patients and their families. Money will also go to support research at the ALR "Alliance for Lupus Research"  because they believe, as we do, that one day this awful disease will have a cure.

Team Jesse's Angels was formed in honor of Jessica Mitchell and her struggle with this disease and all that is associated with it, and all those who have been effected by this disease as well. Our Team has proven to be a big inspiration to many over the last 5 years and we would like to keep this tradition going for the 2014 Walk!

Our 2nd Annual Team Jesses Angels Softball Tournament 2014 is set for May 10th 2014 & Event location will be announced soon!
