Assalamu alaikum
I'm raising money to extend our home into an orphanage to provide accommodation to babies and young children under the age of 2.
These orphans will remain in our home and be raised with our family and apart of our family.
After witnessing the internal problems of other orphanages and the wasted recourses we found it better to fund our own.
Our goal is to complete the kefala process ( legal documents of adoption) then proceed to complete rida3 the Islamic process of fostering. This way these children will be raised in our home with our family and will remain with us instead of being shift on from house to house until they reach the age of maturity. They will be apart of a real family and loved and cared for as such.
These kids need more then just clothes and food they need a real home with love and affection which is absent from most orphanages as they are more like group homes.
We now have an NICU nurse and a number of Drs and surgeons on call who have agreed to help.
MAD= Moroccan Dirham.
400 MAD = approximately £25 (depending on conversion rates and time of the year)
We need to build an extension with seperate rooms including a sterile room for Dr visits and administration of medicines when needed to avoid making sick babies travel.
We need to:
Build rooms that home 3 to 4 cots with glass windows or panels on one side to make observations possible.
buy appropriate cots and bedding
clothes
nappies and newborn supplies
I personally will be careing for the orphans myself with help from my family and close neighbours etc my goal is to be able to pay some trust worthy women to enter my home and help daily to provide some income also to widowed or unmarried women. This is a future idea once we have over 3 or 4 orphans inshaAllah.
This page is mainly to fund the original purchase of land and building extension and to proceed with further building such as rooms and detail whatever is left after will be used to furhish the rooms.
In morocco we must pay for all processes including paperwork and building permissions can be very expensive often times more expensive then the building and labour process.
Our builders will be men from villages with little to now work most of the year.
