15-year-old Danielle is a sophomore at Apopka High School, she
is on the basketball team, she also runs track & excels at flag football.
She loves to read self-help books and write short stories and poetry.
Like most teens her favorite device is her cellphone which she was always
on. If she wasn’t talking to one of her friends she was listening to
music. On what seemed to be a peaceful Sunday afternoon Danielle was
shot in her head while driving in the back of the family's mini van with her
parents on Sunday July 29th 2012. She was an innocent victim caught in a senseless line
of fire. It was her mother’s birthday and they were on the way to The Prime
Outlets to buy her a gift. There was a drive-by shooting and a stray bullet
came through the mini van that she was in and it hit her in the back of her
head. She was rushed to Arnold Palmer Hospital and as a result laid in a
coma in the intensive care unit for 2 months. Since then she's has been
released to a rehab facility. We are are raising funds to alleviate some of the pressure on
her loved ones (including daily expenses, medical costs, a new home to accommodate
her needs ...like a wheel chair or special bed, or special bathtub, also a new
van so her parents don’t have to re-live the memories by driving the van she
was shot in. Danielle NEEDS your prayers, support & donations to get trough
this crucial time. There is power in numbers; there is power in faith. The
family needs the community's help to get through this. We believe all things are possible for this shining star. Please
pray that Danielle has a speedy recovery and return to us in sound mind. NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL! Thank you!

All I have is my prayers at the moment. I am a teacher and have worked with teens in schools and out for years, both inner city, rural and several other settings. I love kids more then my own life. I will light a candle for Danielle and get everyone I can to do the same. I have had students hit in drive-bys before just because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. My prayers will also be with her family. Fight for it Danielle, this world needs your generation more then you know. Gods be with you and your family.
