Sunnyside Elementary is a wonderful, urban-based, public school located near San Francisco’s Glen Park BART station.  We are an ethnically and economically diverse community, with 46% of the students eligible for the free and reduced lunch program. In the past few years, Sunnyside has evolved from an underperforming school to one with good test scores and a strong community of involved parents and teachers.

Sunnyside is in urgent need of your support to help raise $40,000.  Our principal was just informed by the school board that we will be receiving $40,000 less than expected for this year's budget.  Unless we can work together to raise this money, a teaching or faculty position will be eliminated. To lose a teacher means crowded classrooms and a backslide on our academic progress.

As you know, California and San Francisco severely underfund the public school system, however as a community we can save this important position.  With your help we can close this budget shortfall and continue to keep Sunnyside on its path to greatness!

All donations go directly to Sunnyside PTA and are 100% tax-deductible. A tax receipt will be issued to you by the Sunnyside PTA at the end of this Campaign.
