Save Christian Family in Syria

Our friend Adam, his wife and two children are a Christian family living in the Damascus countryside in Syria. As you know Christians there are threatened with death by ISIS extremists in a crazy campaign of terror. So we are trying to help save at least this one family from this fate. 
Adam's house and office were destroyed in the war, and they had to escape to another town, losing all their possessions. Now they urgently need to flee again from the fighting, from a fate worse than death at the hands of terrorists.
They also urgently need money for food, heating oil, and warm clothes. They are hungry and freezing right now.

I hope someone will hear about their emergency and share with them in the holiday spirit.

Any help at all, even small, will be greatly appreciated. It is a matter of life and death for this family.  Or you could help to spread the word, and share this appeal with a few friends or networks.  

I realize it's a lot easier for us to share our opinions on foreign policy crises than to actually spend our own hard-earned money trying to help. But if you could leave a tip of $5 or $10, it will only take you a minute, and if enough visitors do this, we can soon move the family out of harm's way.

The Attar family are good, hard-working middle-class people who belong to a minority who are threatened with death by extremists in the war. Their son Norris is a pro basketball player and his dream is to come to the USA to continue his education. If he is caught by either side in the war, there is a 90% danger of him being killed. With $6000 they can get him a refugee visa to safety in Germany. 

Adam is desperately afraid he will lose his only children.  He hopes some kind person may apply for his son or daughter to get a visa to the US, like for work, internship or au pair.

The family have degrees and experience in hotel and restaurant management, public relations and accounting. Before the war, Adam had his own publishing house with a team of employees, translating many great books.
He is hoping to start life over in a safe place for his family, where they can invest their knowledge and experience. To escape the war they will also need money for plane tickets. The children are eager to find an internship in hotel, office or other business, if you need workers this would be their dream.
