On April 2, 2015 our families lives were changed for ever. My ex sister in law was in fatal accident. My ex sister in law Amy Foster and my niece Rebecca Showalter were killed instantly . My niece Nina Showalter age 9, suffered severe head trama along with many broken bones. Nina is still hanging on to life. We are praying but do not no what lies ahead. Austin Showalter 8, has shattered, broken bones with internal inguries including ruptured intestines and is still in a semi enduced coma. Aiden Showalter4, with shattered,broken bones, has had multiple surgeries and is now awake and in physical thereby. My niece and nephews are still in ICU. I'm asking for money to help pay for not only medical cost but for the expenses during their long journey to recovery. The money will go towards medical , physical therapy, psycholigical therapy , and what other expenses that may accure on this long journey that they will be enduring. Also to help for funeral expenses. A chappelen who was at the scene has open a Fosters memorial account at People's Bank; Medford Oregon.


Mother and child killed in Butte Falls Highway crash identified

A Butte Falls woman and her 6-year-old daughter were killed on Butte Falls Highway when the woman's westbound minivan collided head-on with log truck.

The fatal crash happened around noon.Amy Sue Foster, 34, and her daughter Rebecca Lynn Showalter were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Three more children in the van were taken to Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center with critical injuries, Don Hickman, public information officer for Jackson County Fire District 3, reported. One child was flown by helicopter; the other two were taken by Mercy Flights ground ambulance. No additional details about the children and their injuries were immediately available.

Records from Emergency Communications of Southern Oregon say the crash was reported at 12:05 p.m. about a quarter-mile west of Reese Creek Road.
