Ok so most of my friends know that I relate most to my Cicada character, which is why by now most of those closest to me just call me Sheba or a pet name variation of such. I think some people even think its my given name. My first suit of Sheba is no longer in working order, so I am hoping that with a bit of help I will be able to have a new one created. I will do my best to offer awesome rewards and incentives.
So why do you want this so much?
I love costuming , it is one of my greatest passions and I want to get better at being an entertaining costumer. I like making people smile and as silly as it sounds, being introverted, being in suit allows me to open up a bit more and be more outgoing around large groups of people.
Will this suit help with anything educational?
Actually yes and here is why.
People don't seem to know very much about cicadas at all, they assume that they sting or bite, or they mistake them for locusts which drives me nuts. This suit will be a great conversation starter to help correct peoples missunderstandings of this harmless insect. Cicadas can't bite or sting you as they do not posess the nessisary equipment to do so, the most they might do is poke you with their proboscis (mouth parts that are used to suck up sap).

The main goal of this fund me is to raise enough money to pay the costume maker to make this costume a reality. Every little bit helps and I will be forever gratefull for every little bit of help. I will try to add videos to this soon so that you can see the face behind the sillyness.
