For Shadow - Puppy pushed from car

My Tragic To Magic partner Nancy and I were driving down the highway from Tijuana to Rosarito, Mexico when we saw a car pull over and some men were trying to push a dog out of the car onto the highway. We screeched to a stop. Nancy jumped out and ran back up the side of the road toward the car. The men got the dog out and sped off. I put on my flashers and drove in reverse on the highway to get to the dog. Nancy managed to coax him off the highway and he ran down a side road. We finally got to him and he was loving and friendly. We went straight to the Vet who thought he was an Irish Wolf hound. An expensive breed. So why would they do that? Well, we took him home and observed him favoring one side. We hoped it was an injury and treated him with an anti-inflammatory. When it didn't get better we did an X-ray and we found our answer to the question of why. He was damaged goods. Probably born with this birth defect in his hip. He is just a big playful puppy. He loves to run and play but favors the leg with the bad hip. The Doctors think it can be repaired with surgery and he can run and play his entire life without pain. He loves to cuddle with stuffed animals and sometimes holds them and makes crying sounds. I don't know if he is in pain or misses someone. Please help pay for his surgery and any follow up care to make him better.
