Help Us Go To Ireland in 2014

1. I want to win the World Irish Dancing Championships someday, and while hard work is the only thing that can get me there, going to Blas will give me a boost. 

2. I've dreamed of going to Ireland ever since I was a little girl. When I became an Irish dancer, that hope was intensified. When I found out about Blas, my mind was made up: I had to go.

3. I dream of being a professional Irish dancer one day. Going to Blas will help me get there. 

4. I want my friends to be able to go, too. They all really want to go, and being able to help them get there would be amazing.

5. Someday, I want to take my TCRG (Irish dance teacher's certification) exam. Not only will Blas help me strengthen my technique so I have a better chance of passing - but spending three weeks in Ireland will help me improve my Irish language skills. You have to be able to speak Irish to pass the exam, as long as you intend to teach in Ireland - and I do! 

6. If we go to Blas, we'll have a chance to meet some of our heroes - because many famous Irish dancers teach at the program!

7. I'm part Irish, and having a chance to go to Ireland would help me reconnect with the part of my heritage that is not really emphasised in my family (me dad's a Brit!).  

8. We have friends over in Ireland that we rarely get to see. Skype and Facebook just aren't the same as being able to give someone a hug.

9. I'm also a poet and writer, and a bit of a fan of Irish literature. I really hope to be able to go to Ireland and, on our way back from Blas (we're leaving and entering the country via Dublin to save money on airfare) I'm hoping I might be able to take a gawk at a few places of literary significance. 

10. I just really, really, really want to go.
