SlutWalk UCONN: A March to End Victim Blaming
The second annual SlutWalk UCONN: A
March to End Victim Blaming is coming to campus on October 5, 2012 from 4-6pm outside the Union on Fairfiled Way. For those who haven't heard
of Slutwalk, the event features a march around campus, keynote speakers, and an open mic session to say we've had enough of sexual assault and victim blaming. SlutWalk is the main event held by the organization Revolution Against Rape (RAR). Our goal is to make a change in the campus culture that
thinks it's ok to blame survivors (and how they dress) for sexual
assault, as well as to unite survivors and allies in the fight to end victim blaming.
